Be Mine

Happy Valentines Day! Although it is kind of a silly holiday (shouldn't we celebrate love and friendship every day?) it is an extra special one for our family as we celebrate our annual Happy Heart Day at the end of January and the anniversary of our first date (9 years ago today!).Whatever you do today, I hope it is shared with someone you love (friends count too!).

From our annual Happy Heart Day celebration!

You're absolutely right - we should celebrate love and friendship every day. But celebrating Happy Heart Day and your first date (Nine Years Already?!) are certainly a must. Sending you love!

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog!! I tried to reply to you via email but it came up with a "norelpy blogger" email address so I just thought I'd pop over here to answer your question
I made the beret with a pattern from a Debbie Bliss book - the book is called Design It, Knit It Babies and the pattern is called Classic Fair Isle Beret. I obviously skipped the whole fair isle pattern...I just used the basic pattern to the get the shape of a beret and then knit in it stockinette stitch with a purl row thrown in every couple of rows. Also, I knit it in the round rather than flat since I hate seaming. Other than that, I just followed the pattern. I hope that helps!
